Alan Edwards Salons Website
A start-from-scratch project; creating a new website, branding, social media and printed collateral for Ayurvedic Yoga Massage Therapist Sam.
The challenge
Before collaborating with Doodle Fox Design, Shape Body work did not have any digital presence. We were asked to create a website, logo and branding, printed collateral (business cards and flyers) and a month of social media content to support the initial launch.
Our approach
Branding
We started by creating some options for logo and branding. Providing brand crib sheets that showcased different options and spoke through what felt right to Sam to represent Shape Body Work.
Website Design
We kept the original sleek look and feel of the old Alan Edwards Salons website in the new interface and addressed all breakages to essential pages such as the booking page and contact email address. We also ensured that the website was responsive across different devices as research showed that most users were visiting via mobile.
To ensure easy on-going maintenance for our client we linked back up with the original salon booking system and ensured smooth integration. This allowed minimal disruption to services as both our client and the salon website users were already comfortable and happy with using this software.

Improved UX
Since launching the new Alan Edwards Salons website we've improved the UX (user experience) of the booking process by simplifying the user journey and adding links to the booking platform.
Upgraded the Interface
On launching the new website we were able to move away from a clunky outdated CMS towards a newer more user friendly one - this makes updating the site a piece of cake!
Integrated Analytics
We've begun tracking the new website performance by integrating Google Analytics 4. This allows us to monitor performance over time and provide recommendations based on data.
